Indian food collaboration with every Saturday Meet up Party!
It’s still August, but monsoon ended earlier than usual this year. Don’t you think this summer has been a little too hot? To the point that it does not feel like Japan anymore.
So.... why not have some Indian food in this heat and meet up the hostel guests from all over the world?
Japan Local Buddy (JLB) organizes International Meet up Party every Saturday.
This time, along with the Meet up Party, we have invited an Indian cuisine chef, Mr. Tominaga.
Mr. Tominaga owns an Indian restaurant in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, and he will be serving his special Tandoori chicken roll for 500 yen and Masala potato.
Using the Tandoor kiln (with temperature over 400 degrees), Mr. Tominaga will cook his specialty. On the menu is juicy chicken Tikka with fresh vegetables rolled inside naan along with special sauce. For the toppings, is the masala potato using many different spices.
Cold draft beer or beers from around the world and Indian food, with our international guests; sounds like a good plan, doesn’t it?
Mr. Tominaga’s Profile:
Mr. Tominaga learned cooking from the well-known Indian cuisine specialist, Renu Arora for 7 years. During those 7 years he constantly went back and forth to India to learn the traditional ways of cooking by the housewives of regular households. After his retirement, he opened up a restaurant in Utsunomiya this year in July, by the name of Masala.
He will be using a special Tandoor kiln, created by Japanese companies with the help of Indian specialists.
